With this release, we have established a new connection with the National Weather Service's API Web Service.
The alerts from this system will be integrated into the same REC data tables as those that originate from IPAWS and will use a unique REC alert type code to distinguish the alerts.

Added new functionality to expand on the Applications of Concern List. A new "Apps of Concern" link will show for all windows from 2013. This link will list applications that were identified as being on the REC Applications of Concern List. This replaces the publication of a PDF document that REC did following the close of the 2013 LPFM Window. Applications of Concern are those that have been flagged by REC to call attention to certain patterns in filing or those suspected of being filed by speculators.
Fixed an issue in FCC.today where links to FCC LMS draft copies for certain AM application types were not properly displaying.

The IPAWS/OPEN program office has advised all users of the All Alerts feed, including REC, to changes being made by the National Weather Service (NWS).
As of July 21, 2023 (we only received the notice on July 27), the NWS is reducing the types of messages that they are sending to Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) and the IPAWS All Alerts feed, both of which are monitored by REC. NWS will continue to send severe weather warnings but will discontinue sending other advisories such as watches, advisories, bulletins and statements.
