A few years ago, REC used to publish periodic updates on the granting of LPFM construction permits. With that, we would mention how far along the FCC was in the process. This information was and still is available on the "LPFM Scoreboard" option on the REC website.

there are some updates in progress. We are adding in functionality to support REC's comments in MM Docket 99-25 related to the handling of Window 83 (Great Translator Invasion) applications.

First of all, let me say greetings to the Amherst Alliance's Don and Nick. I am glad to see you all still out there. The nice thing about the LPFM service is that there are many diverse voices not just in the licensees but also in those who are fighting for the service. In reading the Amherst comments, it gets me thinking that they were not invited to the party. In many ways, neither was REC. We knew about the EMF/Prometheus agreement but only because we remained visible through LPFM's low tide.

REC Networks is now using Disqus for handling comments on stories on this site. The use of Disqus is expected to reduce the amount of spam. You may use Facebook Connect, Twitter or a Disqus password in order to make comments. All of the usernames and passwords that in the past you would enter on the right have been deleted. There is no need for them. We have also added Facebook "Like" and "Share" buttons to make it easier for you to share our stories and blogs. A lot of good things are coming and we welcome you. =michi
